Something I’m trying to get better at is promoting my upcoming books! Learning when to start talking about a new book is difficult. If you talk about it too early, people forget about it, and if you do it too late, it makes driving up excitement for preorders a task! And surprisingly, there’s no right answer to WHEN you should do it.
So, with that in mind, I’m going to slow-launch my Thanksgiving novella four months before the release with a little title game on social media. However, because you guys are part of my squad, I’m going to tell you the title here! Please do not spoil the fun for others by participating in the guessing on IG, THREADS, & TikTok posts.

If you’re local to San Antonio, come see me on July 23rd at the Nelson Wolff Stadium during the RoughRiders vs. Missions baseball game. I’ll have a table on the concourse along with a few other local authors from various genres! The game starts at 7:05 p.m., but I’ll be there as early as 6 p.m. I’ll have character art, bookmarks, and stickers with me!
WIP Update
I’m just a girl, standing in front of a tiny lake of literary agents, asking one of them to love my story.
Okay, all jokes aside, I’m back in the query trenches. I’ve been here before, and I can’t say that I like having to rely on someone else to bring a story to readers, but every once in a while, you write a book that is BIG on concept. Friends, this is one of those books.
It’s been bouncing around my head for years, and I’ve started and stopped it plenty of times because I just couldn’t figure out a way forward. The outline I had for this story worked up until I realized the ending wasn’t authentic to what I wanted the theme of the story to be, so it had to go. Once I decided to be true to the “big picture,” the pathway cleared and I was able to finish the story.
