How is it already halfway through April? Wasnāt Valentineās day just last week?! My parents always told me that as you get older you feel time pass differently, and I think I figured out why that is.
One word: Pressure.
As we age(not you, you never age! Youāre as sprite as you were in your teensš) we start looking at our lives through the lens of what weāve done rather than enjoying the moment. Did we complete everything we needed to today? Whatās going on for tomorrow? How fast can I get all this finished so that I can have a moment to breathe before the next thing needs completed? Add in work, friends, kids, and family, there seems to be only time passing and nothing to look forward to.
Iām trying to be more intentional about balancing staying present and looking to the futureā¦one could say Iām leaving my daysā¦Unwritten.
I couldnāt help it. This song is perfect, and I will take no complaints about it!
Thereās a quote from this song that I love, and I try to capture it daily.
āToday is where your book begins. The rest is still unwritten.ā
Damn, those are words to live by. Every day a book of our lives is written. Some days might seem like a horror novel, while others feel like the most heart-warming, kick-your-feet funny romcoms. Point is, treat every day like youāre writing a new story! Each day is a blank piece of paper just waiting for you to get out of bed and start letting the story of your day unfold.
I hope you guys take a moment to be present. Close your eyes, inhale a deep breath, and expel all the negative stuff you took in while you were focused on the next thing you needed to complete.
Updates
I have a new book coming out in June! Have I marketed it well enough? Absolutely not. But Iām trying! This newsletter counts, right?
My upcoming release, Wine in a Million, follows Rosay, a feisty, pink-haired, finance VP whoās family wrongly presumes sheās engaged after a miscommunication on a phone call with her sister. When she learns her sister is getting married in a week, instead of correcting the mistake and showing her family that she doesnāt have her life together, she decides to find someone to pretend to be her fiancĆ© and accompany her to the wedding weekend.
Did she expect her gorgeous and grumpy boss to volunteer in exchange for networking at her sisterās Hill Country wedding? Nope. As romance boils in the Texas heat, Rosay and Graham forget theyāre playing a part and start catching real feelings.
Release date: June 12th!
You can add it to your Goodreads hereā Wine in a Million

I have more character art coming soon for pre-order incentives, so keep an eye out for that!
